Patch 7.34d became a gift for Team Spirit at The International 2023

The unexpected patch a week before TI12 became the best for Team Spirit, allowing them to play comfortably and on their own terms.

This is how Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov, a player from Team Spirit, commented on patch 7.34d in one of his interviews on Twitch.

"I think this is the best patch for us. There's no Pipe of Insight, no offlane heroes that break our meta. My guy can play anything he likes - Spirit Breaker, Bristleback - and have fun. Right now, the offlane is almost like a hard carry. He really enjoys this meta, and we feel comfortable playing"

Earlier, Team Spirit had already stated that the reason for the poor performance of the tournament's top teams was due to the fact that many esports players were unable to quickly adapt to the sudden changes in patch 7.34d, which came as a shock to the players.
