OverDrive said that Team Liquid will disband by the end of the year, naming the reason

Alexey “OverDrive” Biryukov stated that Team Liquid’s CS2 roster will be shut down before the end of this year, because the team does not justify the massive financial investments with their results.

He wrote about this on his page on X.

“The Liquid CS roster will soon follow Evil Geniuses, Complexity and Cloud9. This clown project should be closed by the end of the year. ***** players, low level management. A waste of $150 thousand per month”

OverDrive is extremely unhappy with the team performances, stressing that they did not even manage to qualify for the Major. According to him the players show an incredibly poor level, and he is also dissatisfied with the management decisions.

He also addressed the club руководство, reminding that the roster members receive around $30 thousand each, but they do not deliver results with such financial investments. In his opinion the project will be closed by the end of the year, just like it happened with several other CS2 rosters.

So far, Team Liquid have not responded in any way to such harsh criticism towards their CS2 squad.
