Online tournaments instead of major

After the end of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 winter season, regional online tournaments will be held. Commentator Shannon «SUNSfan» Scotten spoke about this on Twitch.

The top 4 teams from the Division I of each region will compete for a share of the prize pool and DPC points from the canceled Major. Tournaments will be held for three days. More detailed information about the distribution of the prize pool for these online tournaments will be announced by the organizers later.

On January 12, Valve announced that the first Major of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 season was canceled. Due to the discovery and spread of new strains of COVID-19 and the resulting increase of travel restrictions has made it unfeasible for all qualified teams to gather for a LAN tournament.
