NS suggested an alternative to patches for Dota 2 to Valve

Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov, streamer and former esports player, stated that Valve could release matchmaking updates for Dota 2 instead of frequent gameplay patches.
This suggestion was made during a Twitch stream.
"They could go six months without releasing any balance patches, but instead release some matchmaking update, no matter what. I'm not saying what exactly should be done, but they should sit down and think about it. But if they made such a rework and it was cool, I think Valve would be forgiven for anything. But for some reason, they’re not rushing in that direction"
NS believes that gameplay patches could be released about once every six months, and Valve could focus on reworking matchmaking. According to the streamer, this would increase the appeal of Dota 2 and bring many players back to the game.
The former esports player emphasized that Dota 2 fans would forgive the developers even the lack of new content if they brought interesting features to matchmaking.
It’s worth recalling that earlier Anton "Dyrachyo" Shkredov unexpectedly switched to Turbo mode instead of classic ranked.
