Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov, streamer and ex-esports professional, disclosed that keeping
Nigma Galaxy must take up to a couple of million dollars yearly, all in all, quite an unfruitful investment.
He stated this during a Twitch stream.
“A Tier-1 team could be formed, and in just three months, all of them decide to quit. In the end, what remains is a team of ****, like Nigma. That’s a good example. Well, I do believe the Nigma roster spends something in the range of two million dollars on salary, but what benefit are they seeing?”
NS did point out the fact that money has to be invested into maintaining a tier-1 roster, and the return on that investment cannot be guaranteed. For example, a case in point is
Nigma Galaxy who have not participated in any major tournaments for the past few years, and thus can be said to have bust spent more than $2 million on their team and staff members.
NS also pointed out that such is the situation in almost every Tier 1 organization in the Dota 2 professional scene, which makes it a very favorable business for the elite class.
Earlier,
OG teased dramatic changes when they appointed a new head of the organization.
