Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov stated that patch 7.41 didn’t really change much in Dota 2, except for
Refresher Orb changes in the late game.
He said this during his Twitch stream.
“Patch is just a patch. There is very little changed in it. The main change is that Refresher was changed in late game. Aspects, which were removed from everyone, were built into skills. Most heroes didn’t change at all. What was before, still the same. Aspect is now either in ability or in innate. There was a hero where you always picked same aspect, now it’s just in his innate. Literally same thing stayed. Of course, some heroes became weaker, some stronger”
NS pointed out that even though the patch looks global and aspects were removed, in reality it’s not like that. According to him, aspects are now embedded into abilities or innate skills, so nothing really changed.
He admits that the meta still shifted, because some heroes got buffs and others nerfs. However, in his opinion, the only truly important change is the rework of
Refresher Orb in late game, everything else didn’t really impact the game that much.
