Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov stated that the Dota 2 patch 7.37d did not introduce the new hero Kez, nor did it launch Act 4 of Crownfall. In his opinion, Valve released the update solely to add a new treasure chest.
The streamer and former esports player shared this on his Telegram channel.
"A patch came out in Dota that seems to be needed just to legally add another chest to the game without upsetting people. There’s no sign of Act 4 of the event, nor a new hero. It looks like we should expect all of this at the end of the month"
He mentioned that, since the patch did not include the new features players were hoping for, he believes it was released only for the treasure chest. He explained that Valve aimed to avoid community dissatisfaction this way.
NS also predicts that we shouldn’t expect the release of Act 4 of Crownfall and the new hero Kez until early next month.
Recall that Valve previously released patch 7.37d, which added the new treasure chest Crownfall 2024 Collectors Cache 2 to the game.
