Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov stated that Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev is mistaken and that there are many cases of “322” even on the Tier-1 Dota 2 scene but only a few ever get caught.

He spoke about this during a Twitch stream

“It exists it’s been proven in practice. Take Taiga for example or the Chinese players. There’s also a player like Faith - he won The International 2012 had many wins in Tier-2 and Tier-3 overall a very successful career. Then in January 2021 Valve permanently banned him for 322. That’s just how it is - it didn’t even get widely discussed He got banned and that was it. You’d have to be really naive to think everyone who match-fixed will get banned Usually they ban the ones who are obvious about it who throw games blatantly. But how many people have done 322 and never got caught Think about it”

NS emphasized that match-fixing at the highest level of Dota 2 is not uncommon but only those who get too careless end up punished. According to him it’s typically players who blatantly throw games that get caught. He also added that bans can happen when players fall out with teammates or partners involved in the scheme.

He also pointed out that one of the most notable examples is Taiga who played for one of the strongest teams in the world at the time and was still involved in match-fixing schemes.
