NS pointed out an important nuance with the Crownfall update: the event may not happen

Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov stated that Valve did not promise to launch a themed event with the release of the Crownfall update, and it's merely speculation from Dota 2 fans themselves.
Former professional player made this statement during a Twitch stream.
"In fact, the idea of any event at all is something we came up with. It's not a given. Valve didn't promise an event. They promised a patch - Crownfall, which is supposed to be some sort of lore-related thing. But somehow, we all assumed it would be an event. But that's our assumption. Valve didn't say that. They didn't say there would be an event for you, that there would be some new Aghanim's Labyrinth or anything like that. They didn't say that, but everyone is sure it will happen. And when it doesn't happen, we'll only have ourselves to blame because we made it up. But I hope it does happen"
According to him, although the Dota 2 developers didn't promise an event, it's still possible that they might launch one during the downtime between ESL tournaments.

NS believes that it's not unlikely for the event to start on March 14-15, but there is no official confirmation of this.
"They should ideally release the event this month - simply because there are tournaments coming up again. There will be a month without tournaments now"
Recall that earlier NS predicted a new release date for the global Crownfall update, which was supposed to significantly transform Dota 2 gameplay and possibly even add a new hero - Ring Master.
