Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov commented that the new
Virtus.pro roster does look better than the last one, but it still has some remaining gaps regarding the Dota 2 pro scene.
This was mentioned in a statement during a Twitch stream.
“VP got tired of trying to make something out of SquaD1k, Kiritych, and the other ****, and they took a solid five-man roster. To be honest, I think this VP lineup has weak chances to show results on the global stage in the long run. First of all, I don’t like the roster. I think it’s fairly weak”
It was likely just a coincidence at Chimera placed 4th in DreamLeague 25, especially post International shifts where many teams were not in form due to depression. “Chimera rode a wave of momentum”, to put it lightly. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I hope this roster gets to at least top 8. In comparison to the previous variant of Virtus.pro where, achoo, didn’t go anywhere, this is what I call progress. “Here, there’s more chance”
NS added that his expectations for the success of the new VP roster are not so high, rather anticipating them to be in a comfortable top 8. At the same time, admits, the new roster is still not worse than the prior one and does stand a shot at the Dota 2 professional scene.
As a reminder, previously ATF shocked everyone with his statement about Quinn after joining
Team Falcons.
