NS harshly criticized the format of Cavern Crawl in Dota 2

Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov believes that the developers should have made the event Cavern Crawl a permanent game mode in Dota 2. The streamer also adds that there are all the technical means for this.

“And why go through them? I'm not against Cavern Crawl, read a lot of comments, I understand that it's okay. These “catacombs” figurative could have been in Dota pretty much forever. You know, like, go through, play some heroes, some story, this and that. This is not an event that you have to prepare a year or a year and a half, telling that there is something so unrealistically global, just tinny in general. It's done, it feels like, in a couple weeks, if not by a couple people. It doesn't even need a lot of people, because it's already programmed, these “catacombs” have been around for who knows how long. The only thing left is to draw them, well, and accordingly some story to come up with, which is also not very difficult.”

Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov notes that in Dota 2 such events are rare and are equal to a real holiday. Streamer states that in this format he is not interested in playing catacombs, especially since in this mode the game imposes uninteresting to him personally heroes. Nevertheless, the streamer notes that such events also play a positive role, acting as an additional motivation for players.
