Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov stated that, unlike Counter-Strike, Dota 2 will not remain popular forever and the game will eventually fade into obscurity.
The streamer shared this opinion on Twitch.
"Great thinkers such as Korb3n, for example, claim that Dota will exist forever. I seriously doubt that, to be honest. I think CS will, but Dota won't. This game won't last forever."
According to Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov, the game is only supported by developers because of its active audience in Eastern Europe, without which Dota 2 would have stopped developing long ago. The content creator believes that, although people from all over the world play on the servers, the game still enjoys a certain popularity solely because of the constant influx of players from this region.
"In general, we must realize that Dota is only alive because Eastern Europe exists. People from different countries play on all these servers, and there are many of them, naturally, playing from everywhere. If it weren't for the constant influx of players from this region, Dota would already be on its deathbed."
We would like to remind you that earlier, Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov announced the approximate release date of the Compendium in Dota 2.
