NS criticized the format of qualifiers for TI13 and offered his innovations

Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov thinks that one slot at The International 2024 for Eastern Europe closed qualification is too few, as this region is considered to be one of the most active in Dota 2. The streamer believes that two slots would be the optimal number.

The content maker shared his respective opinion with the viewers of his private Twitch broadcast.

"One slot our region was given, unfortunately. I thought it was okay at first, but then I thought it wasn't. Even though BetBoom and Spirit were invited, they should have still given two slots for our region, because after all that's the only region that plays Dota. As if it's possible to give all the slots here already. You call one strong team from each region, and Eastern Europe gets all the slots for qualification, because that's the only region where people play Dota.

So, this logic suggests that there should be not one slot, but two, if not three slots at all. Okay, three is too much, but there should be two."

Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov also added that one slot at TI13 would be enough for South America, where there are almost no strong Dota 2 teams. As an alternative, the streamer suggested that Valve introduce some other format for the pre-games. Kuznetsov suggested that after qualifications it would be possible to organize small regional events right before the tournament, the winners of which will go to the main The International.
