Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko, midlaner for PARIVISION, confessed that he is not pleased with Valve’s move to restrict viewing access for high-MMR players, stating that over time, the state of Immortal Draft has become sad.
The Dota 2 pro scene legend spoke on his views via his Telegram channel.
"As I said, Valve updated the rating system, and the situation with the replays is really bad. I was fond of the fact that everything was open. You could check my games, and I really didn’t care how many people were watching my replays. It made life very simple. But now, unfortunately, everything is not that great," he said.
No[o]ne reminisced on how he appreciated the option of accessing other pro players’ game replays and saw no problem in having his games accessible to others. Per his point of view, that kind of access made life easier, but now things could turn for the worse.
No doubt, the update has their share of unhappy customers, but there are arguments to be made on the other side: many people agree that developers had to do this, as it will reduce the number of cheaters, hopefully improving the state of Immortal Draft.
