No[o]ne explained why the match between Team Spirit and PARIVISION became the main series of the EWC

Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko believes that the match between Team Spirit and PARIVISION at the Esports World Cup Dota 2 tournament determined the winner of the grand final, as both teams were much stronger than the rest of their opponents.

The player shared this opinion on Twitch.

“I believe that our game was the key to winning the tournament. It seems to me that Spirit and I were head and shoulders above the rest in the tournament. This is just my subjective opinion. I think we were the second strongest team. The match against Spirit decided the outcome of the tournament.”

The player also noted that he is happy with the result of third place in a major tournament, as he considers it his most significant achievement in recent years. Commenting on criticism from fans who were hoping for a PARIVISION victory, the player said that his team had to face the strongest team in the modern Dota 2 pro scene.

"For me, a top-3 finish at a major tournament is an incredible result in any case. Considering that for the last 3 years I barely qualified in some teams, and in some cases couldn't even play in the tournament qualifiers. These comments: ‘I was rooting for you, but you lost’... Bro, we were playing against the strongest team in the world."
