Nix told how he boosted accounts in Dota 2

Alexander “Nix” Levin said that when he was a teenager he earned money from boosting accounts in Dota 2. For the boost account to 6400 - 6600 MMR, which at that time allowed to enter the top 100 ladder, the streamer received 6 - 7 thousand rubles, which at the exchange rate of the time was about 180 U.S. dollars.

The corresponding story the streamer shared in a personal Twitch broadcast.

“Why do people treat boosters who make content on loommr normally? Don't you feel sorry for them? I always feel sorry for them. For as long as I can remember, I boosted once, I was like 15 years old, I really had nothing to eat. I was boosting solo, and it was a hemmr.

I did orders where the MMR was higher than my main because I never grinded on it. I was doing 6400-6600 orders, that was top 100 at the time. I was given a lot, 6-7 thousand rubles, it was straight crazy money.”

Streamer also said that such pages were then in demand among Chinese brand owners, who advertised on leaderboards by renaming accounts.

“There were Chinese people who were willing to buy such accts. What used to be the fashion - you open a leaderboard, if your acct is there, you can rename it to the name of a famous brand.”

Still, the streamer doesn't understand players who make content out of it. Alexander “Nix” Levin believes that many members of the gaming community like to watch booster broadcasts and then complain about them themselves. According to the content maker, it is wrong to take pleasure in beating weaker players.

“There are some people who are straight content from that, it's horrible. You have 3 times more MMR than people, breaking their games, bullying the weaker ones. A bunch of people like it, they keep up the demand for it, and then complain about boosters.

I think it's a mental shift, it's the desire to only play against the weak who are times weaker than you. I think it's a mental shift. I've always strived to play against the strongest as much as possible.”

Recall that Alexander “Nix” Levin also told how he managed to earn an impressive amount of money before starting his career as a streamer.
