Nix surprised with a statement about Yatoro, saying he is not a genius

Alexander “Nix” Levin stated that Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk is actually not a genius player, but someone who made his way through hard work and constant practice, just like Cristiano Ronaldo in football.

He said this during a Twitch stream.

“Yatoro is the Ronaldo of the Dota world. He is not a genius, he is a worker and a damn hard one. When he joined Spirit, he was ranked around 200. Back then he was basically a Morphling abuser from matchmaking. He put an enormous amount of work into himself. That doesn’t mean he has no talent, but he is not a genius”

Nix explained that at the beginning of his career Yatoro did not really stand out and mostly played only one hero. Nevertheless he emphasized that the two-time world champion worked incredibly hard on himself and eventually became one of the best players in the history of Dota 2.

The streamer also noted that he is not saying Yatoro has no talent, but stressed that he does not consider him a genius player. He once again compared him to Ronaldo, who also reached the top thanks to training and hard work, not just pure talent.
