Alexander “Nix” Levin believes that Dota 2 matches have stopped being interesting because the current meta lacks mechanics that motivate players to get into fights instead of farming. The content maker believes that the developers are not solving this problem.
The streamer shared a relevant opinion on Twitch.
“That's why Dota is garbage, you know? Because the developers are stupid. Well really, they're stupid, they don't realize that for competitive the current meta is a horror.
The patch itself dictates you play a certain way, it doesn't let you go to the highground until you have 40,000 advantage, and those 40,000 advantage just AFK in the woods, and you sit and watch people beat creeps, even though you can add some objects, or strengthen Roshan. Make it so that the team that takes Roshan has creeps boosted. That would make it possible to at least force players to come fight for that Roshan.”
Streamer believes that players spend most of their matches in their own part of the map, which is why the games are no longer entertaining. The content maker also noted that Dota 2's meta in gameplay matches has been changing little for the past year and a half. Alexander “Nix” Levin is sure that the problem will be solved by the introduction of mechanics that will make fighting more profitable than farming, because it will make the matches more dynamic.
Earlier, Alexander “Nix” Levin urged Valve to somehow diversify the current Dota 2 meta, pointing to the five-year stagnation.
