Nix reviewed patch 7.40 for Dota 2

Alexander “Nix” Levin said that he was very unhappy with the changes in patch 7.40 for Dota 2, as they do not bring significant diversity to the gameplay balance, although the content creator was pleased with the new hero and animations.

The streamer made this statement on Twitch.

“The patch is complete nonsense, guys. No kidding. Everything related to the heroes and these frog animations in the main menu is cool. The comic is cool, the sets are cool, but everything related to the balance of the game is just smoke and mirrors, you know?”

Acording to Alexander “Nix” Levin, the content creator is very unhappy with the latest patches because they don't solve the gameplay issues in Dota 2, although the streamer acknowledges that the developers are making quality visual changes. Nix also noted that new in-game events motivate players to earn rewards, which distracts the comunity, but the gameplay remains at the same level.

"When it comes to their work, something terrible is happening in terms of patches and so on. Beautiful effects appear, bridges are redrawn. Yes, the bridges are beautiful, yes, everything is beautiful, but the root remains the same, and it doesn't change. That's the problem. They throw dust in your eyes: they throw you “Quartero's Curios,” Monster Hunter, another chest, and you're like, “Cool, I have to grind.” But it's all smoke and mirrors, because none of this has any effect on the game, on its flaws and the dynamics of how profitable it is to farm compared to killing heroes, how difficult it is to finish games, and so on. Action, action."

Let us remind you that earlier Alexander “Nix” Levin gave a positive assessment of the new hero Largo, praising the developers for their high-quality work.
