Alexander “Nix” Levin said that he does not like the changed playoff format of the upcoming BLAST Slam VI Dota 2 tournament.
The streamer shared this opinion on Twitch.
“I don't know, I don't like this change. We have BO5 for some reason... Well, you see, right now it's very beneficial to have a lot of games. No matter how you look at it.”
According to Alexander “Nix” Levin, the organizers decided to hold all BLAST Slam VI playoff matches in BO5 format to increase the number of maps played, which is financially beneficial, as this format will help increase the tournament's viewership statistics.
As a reminder, the organizers previously announced the BLAST Slam VI tournament for February next year. Unlike most pro-scene events, not only the grand final, but also all playoff matches will be played until one of the teams wins five maps.
