Alexander “Nix” Levin that the reason for the toxicity of the Dota 2 community lies in impunity, unlike League of Legends, where the behavior of players is governed by clear rules.
The streamer shared a relevant opinion in a private Twitch broadcast.
“There's a very cool set of rules where such people get banned. When I was in M19, we had lolers with us on bootcamp. The top team in the CIS. There was a guy wishing death on his teammates. Someone scanned it and posted it on reddit. He got banned from the pro league for a month and fined. If he did it again, he'd lose his career.”
Alexander “Nix” Levin also added that in Dota 2 a player can say anything and then continue to play without punishment.
It should be noted that in matchmaking Dota 2 even professional players often get into verbal altercations, but it almost never leads to any sanctions. Some cybersportsmen purposely provoke opponents in chat at tournaments, believing that such actions make matches more spectacular.
Earlier, Alexander “Nix” Levin spoke about the possible departure of Anton “Dyrachyo” Shkredov from
Gaimin Gladiators.
