Alexander "Nix" Levin, streamer and former esports player, admitted that he will be leaving Dota 2, but the reason is not the game itself, but his burnout. According to him, no amount of money will keep him from this decision.
He shared this during a Twitch stream.
"For the past year, I've been thinking that I need to get out of Dota because I'm done. It's not about Dota; it's about me. I understand that I built my whole life around this, and now I have to give it up"
He expressed regret about leaving his life's work but stated that even huge amounts of money won’t change his decision. He explained that he has burned out on Dota 2, and it has become a problem. He also reminded that he had previously left the pro scene due to similar feelings.
"I need to try to transition smoothly. Sometimes, you can reach a state like the one I reached when I was playing. I didn’t need any money; I just knew that if I continued playing Dota, I would die psychologically. When you reach that point, there’s no question about it"
The streamer emphasized that when he is in such a state, he already knows he has made his decision. However, Nix has not yet specified the exact date or period when he will completely stop streaming Dota 2.
Recall that Nix previously shocked with a statement about Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk's past, revealing his failures on the pro scene.
