Alexander “Nix” Levin admitted that he used cheats as a kid, but not in Dota 2, instead in Counter-Strike.
The streamer talked about this during a Twitch broadcast.
“Did I ever tell you that I had a mouse with cheats? I’m serious. No, not in Dota. When I was a kid, in CS. But it wasn’t actually through the mouse, you know? It was more like software from a flash drive, that’s how it worked. Although I’ve heard there are cheats built into mice, but I don’t know how that works”
According to him, he was very young at the time and did use cheats. At the same time, he clarified that there were cheats related to mice, but in his case they were stored on a flash drive. Nix admitted that he doesn’t really know the difference, but he used a flash drive.
He did not specify which exact version of the game he played, but it was long before the release of CS2. Nevertheless, such a confession could potentially lead to punishment from Valve, if users start reporting the streamer on Reddit. Similar situations have happened before, and developers have reacted to complaints and banned streamers.
