Alexander “Nix” Levin recalled that the developers said the Compendium takes up a lot of their time, but after abandoning it, patches started coming out even slower than before.
The streamer talked about this during a broadcast on Twitch.
“I’m not interested in watching Dota 2. It’s repetitive predictable and obvious. Nothing changes. The developers just don’t care. Remember how they said the Compendium takes a huge amount of time? In the end after that they started making patches ten times slower. Or rather not making them at all. The online numbers are growing because it’s enough to just give people free stuff. I have a lot of friends who stopped playing and watching”
Nix noted that the Dota 2 developers have been spending very little time on the game, because of that it became predictable and boring. According to him this happened after the developers said that Compendiums take too much time, and that after dropping them they would focus on gameplay changes.
Nevertheless the streamer believes that since then patches have been coming out even more slowly, and the online player count is growing only because the game gives away a lot of free cosmetics.
