Michal “Nisha” Jankowski has stated that he did not join
Team Liquid's roster early on because he was bound by a contract with another organization. After his contract came to an end, William “Blitz” Lee offered the player to join the team.
The
Team Liquid player made a statement to this effect on YouTube.
“I was under contract. Then it ended and I was ready to move to a new team.
At the after-party, Blitz offered me to move to Liquid. I think I was easily bribed. But, of course, Zai also played a role. Plus I liked the team's vibe and playstyle.”
The player also admitted that during the transition process he wasn't completely sure of the correctness of his decision, as the situation on the Dota 2 pro scene before The International 2022 was quite shaky. However, the squad's performance at TI11 gave the player confidence that the team was moving in the right direction.
“I wasn't quite sure because the tournaments before TI11 were a bit shaky. But the performance at the Inter added to my confidence. I realized that if I move to Liquid, we're definitely working towards where I want the team to be.”
As a reminder, William “Blitz” Lee previously promised
Team Liquid fans that he would win The International tournament in 2025.
