Nikola “Niko” Kovač stated that the moment when he failed to kill an opponent in a flank on the Ancient map during the final against Legacy at the CS Asia Championships was very difficult for the esports player.

“It was a very difficult moment for me. Because this has happened before. I’ve already missed in finals in similar situations. It gets harder and harder to let it go each time. It definitely put pressure on me."

According to Nikola “Niko” Kovac, it is quite difficult for the esports player to let go of the negative emotions caused by the miss, as this is not the first time such a situation has occurred in a grand final during his career. The player also acknowledged that at the CS Asia Championships, the team showed weaker preparation than at the previous tournament due to fatigue, and he also believes that this failure will have a more serious impact on the roster than previous losses.

“Our play wasn’t as good as it was in Astana. We were tired and drained throughout the entire tournament. We had a lot of issues right on the server, a lot of tough moments. The fatigue was really noticeable. This final will affect us more than the previous ones.”
