Omar "w33" Othman, a professional player and streamer from
Nigma Galaxy, complained to Valve about a significant number of cheaters in Dota 2 matchmaking. He asked the developers for help with the issue.
w33 posted about this on his Twitter account.
"Hi Valve, is there any chance we can get information about third-party programs being used in matchmaking? Anyone who doesn't do this is at a huge disadvantage. With the introduction of Immortal draft, captains can use an app and almost guarantee a win by picking the best players. I don't think this is healthy for the game, and this issue needs to be resolved. Cheaters have become a huge problem in Dota 2. I encounter them in half of the games"
According to him, cheaters have a significant advantage over regular players, negatively affecting the gaming experience. Moreover, cheating is encountered in half of the games, making the situation genuinely problematic, emphasized w33.
However, Valve has not yet responded to the statement from the
Nigma Galaxy member. It is possible that Dota 2 developers are already addressing the issue, and a wave of bans for users of third-party programs in Dota 2 may follow soon.
Recall that Somnus`M suggested
Nigma Galaxy consider adding Dota 2 legend Ludwig "zai" Wahlberg to their lineup.
