Marun “GH” Merhey said that
Nigma Galaxy, in preparation for The International 2025, decided not to focus on team gameplay, concentrating instead on working with a psychologist.
The player spoke about this on Twitch.
“I think we approached the preparation a little differently than before. For example, we worked more with our psychologist than on the gameplay. Of course, we are working on everything related to the game, but we have lost a lot of psychological stability.”
According to the esports player, the team decided to abandon the traditional approach to preparation, which involves focusing on drafts and in-game decisions, in favor of working with a psychologist, since in the modern Dota 2 pro scene, any team can unexpectedly defeat any opponent if they have the right mindset.
"I sincerely believe that at this moment, right now, any team can beat any other team on any given day, with the exception of a few teams that win consistently.
So that's the only reason, in my opinion, that made us switch our focus from drafts, in-game decisions related to drafts, gameplay, and overall strategy to working on our psychological state."
Let us remind you that Maroun “GH” Merhej managed to get into the top 3 of the European Dota 2 ladder while preparing for The International 2025.
