Nightfall called for allowing pro players to create smurf accounts

According to Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, Dota 2 should allow professional esports players to create smurf accounts, as is the case in League of Legends, where players are allowed to create a second account. The player identified the main problem with using the main account as the long search for a match due to the high rating.

“If I'm not mistaken, everyone is allowed to have a second account in League of Legends. I think this should also be allowed for pro players in Dota. For example, I wait for hours for a match to be found.”
