A new event featuring the hero Bard-Frog may soon begin in Dota 2

Valve may soon launch a new event in Dota 2 connected with the new hero Bard-Frog, as indicated by mentions in the game code after the release of the Winter Quartero's Curios update.

This was reported by Mark “Sikle” Lerman, an analyst of Team Spirit, in his Telegram channel.

“Let’s start digging in the files. First thing that catches the eye — a new unit bard_frogling, which belongs to some event, and it can be spawned in the game as npc_dota_frogling_event.

1 - it has 50 animations, mostly dancing.

2 - it can hold in its hands: a) fans, b) maracas, c) drum sticks”

It is noted that this new NPC can already even be spawned in test mode, and it has 50 animations, which is pretty impressive. There are assumptions that the frog may become a new pet.

It is still unknown when the event is planned to start, and if the developers will do it. However, dataminers found in the code a line with a clear mention of the upcoming event. It is also noted, that you can spawn the frogling using the command createhero npc_dota_frogling_event

Earlier, the Winter Quartero's Curios event also started instead of the release of patch 7.40.
