Vladislav “Nafany” Gorshkov believes that 1win Team’s CS2 roster will still achieve success, despite the team’s loss in the Esports World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

The player made this statement on Telegram.

“We put up a tough fight; we had chances to close out Ancient in our favor. Maybe we could have pulled it off on Dust2. Alas, it’s still too early. And yes, building a team from scratch is always tough, so the chalenges are obvious.

The match against Acend, by the way, was incredible—we couldn’t hear a thing for half the game, and the guys behind us were playing PUBG (or something like that). The atmosphere there is cooler than in Rio or Cologne, apparently. Those guys were banging away on drums and horns for five hours, louder than your neighbors during renovations. If you watch the replay, for half the game both we and they were just having a blast without holding back.

Special respect for the support. A lot of people are sending kind words and constructive criticism—it’s nice. “Well, the grind never stops—we’ll get ours eventually.”

Acording to a statement by Vladislav “Nafany” Gorshkov, the team had a chance to suceed, but the 1win Team roster still faced difficulties due to a lack of experience playing together. The esports player also noted that during the match against Acend, both his team and their opponents were severely distracted by noise from a PUBG tournament taking place nearby.
