Danil “Molodoy” Golubenko stated that he needs to change his gameplay, focusing on team play rather than his own performance.
The player made this statement on YouTube.
"I understand the reasons for the decline. I need to change my style to help the team more. Previously, I focused more on myself. I think that’s not so good, because CS is a team game.”
According to Danil “Molodoy” Golubenko, the esports player needs to focus more on interacting with his teammates, since he can put on a spectacular individual performance but still lose regularly due to a lack of team coordination. Nevertheless, the player acknowledged that he still plans to produce spectacular highlights, but intends to be more useful to his team.
“Of course, I can still produce highlights, but without my teammates, it’s impossible to win trophies. You can consistently kill opponents, but still lose matches. I don’t want that. That’s exactly why it’s important for me to change and improve my teamplay. Within the team, we talk a lot about the system and about me being able to help my teammates at any moment. That’s why I’m trying to play less for myself. When I joined Furia, I picked my role too often, which sometimes caused us problems. Now things are changing. I try not to get carried away with playing solo. However, that doesn’t mean my determination has gone anywhere. I’m still confident in myself.”
As a reminder, earlier Danil “Molodoy” Golubenko couldn’t hold back his emotions when Gabriel “Fallen” Toledo announced his plans to retire.
