Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov, former support player for Team Spirit, stated that the only position where age matters is carry, while it has no significance for the others in the professional scene.

The esports player shared his thoughts during a Twitch stream.

"I don't believe age is a deciding factor in Dota. You could be 40 years old and still dominate, being so good that every team wants you. Whether you're 27 or 35—it doesn't matter. For a carry, age might be important, but if you're a support, it doesn't matter. Actually, it applies to any position. It all comes down to how you play, how much you play, and how much time you dedicate to Dota. To be successful, you need to ignore everything else and spend 12 hours a day on Dota"

He emphasized that while age might affect the carry position, it doesn't have the same impact on supports. However, Mira also admitted that older players could still excel as carries, depending on how much time they commit to the game.

The two-time Dota 2 world champion explained that success in the professional scene is directly tied to time spent in Dota 2, with at least 12 hours of daily play being essential.

It’s worth noting that Mira recently switched to the offlane role but still managed to defeat Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk in a match.
