Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov admitted that he returned to the pro scene because he found it uninteresting to live in the real world without Dota 2.
The two-time world champion shared this during an interview on the
Aurora YouTube channel.
"I took a break in September to figure out what was keeping me going. Do I still enjoy playing Dota? Or am I just doing it for the money?
I spent six months in real life, went for walks, traveled, had all the good things, everything was great. But I caught myself thinking that I was just bored with life. So I returned to the virtual world of Dota. It's more interesting. You have many more opportunities there, while in real life you're just a person"
Mira noted that financially he could afford a comfortable life, traveled and relaxed, but soon realized that he was getting bored and couldn't live without Dota 2. That's why, according to him, he returned to performing on the pro scene.
It is worth recalling that earlier there was information that
Team Spirit had bought out the player
Aurora, but this was allegedly not Mira.
