Mira explained Aurora’s elimination from the tournament

Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov stated that if not for patch 7.41, Aurora would have had a real chance to win ESL One Birmingham 2026, but the update ruined everything.

He said this in an interview with Hotspawn

“Since the beginning of January, we have done a huge amount of work to build the right structure in the team. Now it’s starting to pay off. If the new patch hadn’t come out right in the middle of the tournament, I think we would have had great chances to win. Now everything has turned into some kind of randomness. But yes, we invested a lot of effort and spent a lot of time with our coach, so I just hope we will find a way to keep winning even on this patch”

Aurora finished in 5th–6th place at the tournament, losing to PARIVISION in the deciding match. Mira noted that the team managed to build a solid structure and worked well with their coach. However, the patch released during the tournament, according to him, destroyed their preparation and now they have to rebuild everything again.

Earlier, the player had already mentioned that because of the patch the team’s captain even experienced a panic attack due to the huge number of changes in the game.
