Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov stated that Aurora managed to defeat Team Spirit in the grand final of FISSURE Universe 8 thanks to better drafts and the absence of mistakes on the first and the last two maps of the series.

The two-time world champion commented on the victory over his former team in the club’s Telegram channel.

“So our final against Spirit is over. We won. I wouldn’t say the games were really easy, but we were confident both in our drafts and in our gameplay.

On the first map everyone played well. And we had a good draft, we won quite confidently.

On the second map they gave me Shaman, and there I gave a bit of a show of course, running 0–15 feeding. Things didn’t go well neither in the lane, nor in the game.

On the third map we were leading by around 8–10 thousand, as it seems to me. Then for some reason we didn’t take the outpost when we pushed the mid tower. And the enemies smoked into us, we took the fight without Largo. They caught the Puck and made a comeback. After that Ilyuha’s Morph decided the game.

On the fourth and fifth maps everything was more or less confident. As it seemed to us, we had the better draft, and we played slightly better. And we won quite logically. Everyone is very happy. We will keep working now. So cheer for us”

Mira admitted that Aurora did not show their best game on the second and third maps. Moreover he noted that he himself made a huge mistake and was literally feeding on the second map. Nevertheless the player emphasized that discipline helped them secure the victory.

It is worth noting that this was Aurora first victory at the tournament, and they also managed to defeat one of the strongest teams on the Dota 2 pro scene.
