Miposhka Reveals His Main Motivation for Coaching Team Spirit

Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov believes he has accumulated enough knowledge throughout his career to serve as coach for Team Spirit.

The esports player made this statement in an interview with Dota2.

“What I definitely like is that, overall, I feel like my actions are making a difference. This difference manifests in the fact that I’m sharing the knowledge I’ve accumulated. In other words, after so many years of playing, I’ve built up a huge wealth of experience. It would be a bit of a shame not to share it—to just ignore it and retire with all this knowledge.

Overall, I enjoy this process: being able to share, discuss Dota, and talk about what I know. Communicating, coming to a common understanding—that element of learning is something I really enjoy.

I also like drafting. That’s probably a slightly separate topic—not exactly coaching, but still. I take on the role of drafter. And it’s satisfying when you sit down, think things through, come up with a bunch of options, make the draft, and feel like you’re happy with everything. Every pick went exactly as planned; you don’t feel like anything went completely wrong. And that feeling when everything went according to plan—that’s awesome, too.

What don’t I like? Man, honestly, I don’t know. It’s just that sometimes the tournament schedules… I wouldn’t say this specifically relates to coaching—just to esports in general. But sometimes the schedule is just too unreasonable, in my opinion.”

According to Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, the esports player would regret ending his career without passing on his knowledge to younger players. He noted that he enjoys coaching, and what he enjoys most is working on drafts and talking with the team. Nevertheless, Miposhka is dissatisfied with the tournament schedule format, which he considers a common problem across all esports disciplines.
