Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov stated that after returning to
Team Spirit as an assistant coach, he decided to focus first and foremost on the team’s drafts.
The former captain made this statement on Telegram.
“The first thing that caught my eye was the drafts. It wasn’t all bad—there were some good ideas—but I had my doubts about certain picks. When the enemy picks certain heroes, we counter with these specific ones—you know, it doesn’t quite make sense. Maybe they’re decent picks and work well in meta, but they don’t make sense in relation to the enemy’s heroes.
I also watch the games. It’s hard to tell from the games alone if anything stood out. I listen to the voice chat to see who’s suggesting what, and who’s staying silent when they should be speaking up.”
According to Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, the situation with
Team Spirit’s drafts before his return wasn’t catastrophic, but some of the team’s decisions raised doubts for him, as they didn’t counter the opponents’ strategies in the best way. The assistant coach and former team captain also decided to focus on the quality of communication among the players.
As a reminder, Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov previously compared the play of Miroslav “Mira” Kolpakov and Alexey “not me” Kosmyinin on
Team Spirit.
