Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov, the captain of
Team Spirit, considers the 4th place finish at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 an excellent start for the new roster. The esports player reminded that the previous star lineup only managed to reach the top 8 in their first LAN tournament.
He shared this insight in a post-match interview.
"This is our lineup’s first LAN. As I recall, with the previous Team Spirit roster, we made it to the top 8 at the AniMajor, but here we reached the top 4. I think that's a good start"
The two-time world champion pointed out that
Team Spirit previous lineup also didn’t start with tournament victories, finishing only in 8th place at WePlay AniMajor, which was their first LAN. Miposhka emphasized that the new roster has achieved an impressive 4th place in their first major tournament, especially considering the strength of the competition.
It’s worth noting that the new roster earned over $60,000 in prize money at their first tournament, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, compared to the previous roster's $12,500 at WePlay AniMajor.
It’s also worth mentioning that Dmitry "Korb3n" Belov,
Team Spirit manager, identified who he believes was responsible for the new roster's defeat.
