Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naydenov criticized Valve’s decision to release patches 7.41 and 7.41a during the playoffs of ESL One Birmingham, noting that this should not be done.
The strong statement was made during a stream on Twitch
“I think it’s not normal when developers mess with patches during a tournament. They have windows when there are no tournaments. At least it should be done not before playoffs but during the group stage, like on the second day. They just dont care about players at all”
Miposhka noted that developers should release patches during the group stage, or even better during breaks between tournaments. According to him it is disrespectful to players to do this right before the final stage of the competition.
However the former
Team Spirit captain also thinks that developers dont really care about tournament schedules and pro players, so these complaints probably dont matter.
