Team Spirit's captain, Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidyonov, believes that
Team Spirit lost the first map to
Aurora due to a poor draft and mistakes during the game.
The esports athlete made this statement in a video message to subscribers of the organization's official Telegram channel.
"We failed to draft well in the first map against
Aurora, but not everyone thinks so. The opponents had a good draft. We performed well at the start, had an advantage, we pressured. But somewhere we made mistakes, took a few bad fights. We lacked discipline and concentration at Roshan. We lost important fights, the opponents gained momentum, and it became harder for us to play.
We outplayed the opponent a bit on the second map.
Aurora made a mistake with the
Viper pick, for which we punished them. We fought well at the rune, got three kills. I don't remember the last time that happened. I just didn't let the opponents go."
The battle on the first map lasted over an hour but ended in defeat for
Team Spirit. However, the team managed to gather strength for the next map, finishing the clash in their favor in just 18 minutes. As a result,
Team Spirit advanced to the next stage of the championship, winning 8 out of 14 played maps.
Aurora ranked one spot higher in the group standings.
