Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov, former captain of
Team Spiritt, said that he did not want to play at The International 2025, and even training was difficult due to incredible burnout.
The two-time world champion spoke about this during an interview with Mrs. Marple on YouTube.
"Somehow, this tournament turned out to be one of the worst for me personally.
I wouldn't say that my approach was different. I devoted a lot of time and attention to training and preparation. It wasn't much different from other tournaments. But at this tournament, everything was more difficult in terms of finding strength within myself"
He said that the championship was one of the worst in his entire professional career. Moreover, he admitted that he didn't even have the strength to train and believes that it was all due to burnout and the enormous fatigue that had accumulated over several seasons.
"For example, we played a game, we had time to train, but I was sitting there and my eyes were just closing. And it was only at this tournament that this happened.
I reflected on this a lot and tried to find the reason why this tournament was more difficult. And I came to the conclusion that I was tired, burned out, and just couldn't find the strength within myself. It was just difficult to wake up and go play. I was just too lazy to get out of bed"
According to him, he didn't even want to get out of bed to go play or train. Miposhka admitted that he literally ran out of energy at this tournament.
