Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Borislavov, the former offlaner of
Tundra Esports, stated that there were three main reasons that dissatisfied him in the team, leading to his departure.
In an interview with Jean "Gorgc" Stefanovski, MinD_ContRoL elaborated on the
Tundra Esports scandal. The corresponding fragment was posted on the Ez Dotes YouTube channel.
"The first thing that happened—Pure~ took away my captain role. Essentially, he stole it from me. It was fine with me as long as we were winning. But that's not good because you can't always win. That's not what I wanted while being in this team. Originally, I wanted to be the captain and the drafter, dealing with those things. But these responsibilities were taken from me. But it's still okay"
The first issue that bothered him was the captain role. It turned out that one of the conditions for his move to
Tundra Esports was the captain role and the ability to draft. However, although he did not like that Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko took this opportunity, it wasn't the main problem.
"The next factor was MoonMeander. CEO Anthony suggested him to us. I said I didn't like this idea and didn't want to see this person as the coach. Then I was persuaded to agree in a way that I couldn't refuse. In essence, I was forced to work with MoonMeander. In some sense, I accepted it because I didn't have many options. I started working with MoonMeander; everything was fine, but I was dissatisfied. So there were already two things I didn't like"
The next issue that MinD_ContRoL had was the appointment of MoonMeander as the team's coach. It is not exactly clear what specifically bothered the player about the coach. According to the esports athlete, he was practically forced to work with him.
"The third reason for my dissatisfaction was zai. It was the same with him. I said I didn't want to work with zai. I don't know what a person in his position should do, I don't like it. This is already the third factor. And what's next? Even more similar moments"
He also did not like the appointment of Ludwig "zai" Wahlberg as the club's general manager. According to the player's words, he did not know what zai would be doing, and this became the last straw. After that, he could not bear it and issued an ultimatum to the organization's management.
"Essentially, as a leader, I had neither a voice nor any authority in the team. MoonMeander, zai, and Pure~ were handling all the issues. I was absolutely unhappy with it. I was no longer ready to tolerate it. I could no longer allow them to treat me like that; it was too much. So, I decided that the club's management had to make a choice: either me or MoonMeander and zai"
Apparently, after this ultimatum, the team decided to suspend MinD_ContRoL, and in response, the esports player announced that he was looking for a new team for future performances.
Tundra Esports also responded to the situation, officially stating their perspective.
