Valve may be bought by Microsoft at $16bn as the latest information suggests but there is no official word so far.
This was revealed on their Twitter page by an insider named Dior.
"Microsoft with roughly $80bn in cash, to make a bid of $16bn for Valve. All cash, no stock"
From this internal source’s comments, it is anticipated that the deal will be done without any stocks and only through use of cash thus making it one of the most expensive deals for Microsoft to make if they succeed in buying Valve. As of yet, there is no confirmation as to whether or not these rumors are true nor has anyone come forth with changes that would occur on Steam; which happens to be the biggest online gaming store. However, some fans worry that such a move might necessitate linking Xbox accounts or other services offered by Microsoft to Steam, though this looks unlikely.
It should be noted that last year it became known that you have actually approved the possibility of purchasing Valve and Nintendo. But whether official talks were held remains unclear.
