Streamer and former professional Dota 2 player Ilya "Illidan" Pivtsev has expressed doubts about the fairness of the teams Evil Geniuses and Beastcoast at the BetBoom Dacha tournament. He shared his concerns on his Telegram channel.
Illidan suspects that both teams from South America might have been involved in match-fixing.
"South American teams as usual throwing their map) nothing new"
During the second map of the match between Beastcoast and EG, there were numerous unexpected turnarounds. At one point, Beastcoast players failed to finish the game despite having an advantage and died without the possibility of a buyback, leading to their defeat on that map. This meant that EG was eliminated from the tournament.
Beastcoast managed to secure a victory against EG on this map, but subsequently, they lost to TSM and were also eliminated from the competition.
