Streamer and former professional player Mason “mason” Venne has received a permanent ban in Dota 2 for the second time in his career.
The moment when his access to matchmaking was blocked was caught on camera during a Twitch stream.
According to the notification Mason “mason” Venne received in the Dota 2 client, the ban was due to “the use of third-party programs, violation of Steam's terms of service, smurfing, abuse of the matchmaking system, or other gross violations.”
It is worth noting that this is the streamer's second lifetime ban, as in December 2023 he received an “Extremely Toxic Coal” as a gift for Frostivus for manipulating his integrity rating.
As a reminder, Valve previously banned 12 pro players in Dota 2 in collaboration with the organizers of the Perfect World tournament.
