Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak suggested that
Team Spirit may have been holding back in the FISSURE Universe: Episode 6 grand final so as not to reveal their full capabilities to their opponents ahead of The International 2025, but the player is happy that
Team Falcons' long losing streak has come to an end.
The player made this statement on Twitch.
“
Team Spirit was letting up. They were deliberately boosting our morale so they could beat us at TI. Of course, it's nice to win. It's surprising that we're starting to win. Everyone knows that last year didn't go very well for us, but now we've hit our stride. I'm happy. We've been making progress since the beginning of the EWC.”
Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak also noted that at the Riyadh Masters 2025,
Team Spirit proved to be stronger than his team and made fewer mistakes. The esports player also pointed to the substitution as one of the reasons for
Team Spirit's defeat. Nevertheless, Malr1ne believes that Marat “Mirele” Gazetdinov showed a very decent level of preparation during his first tournament on the Dota 2 pro scene.
"I think we just got better.
Team Spirit was slightly better at EWC 2025, they made far fewer mistakes there. Plus, they have a different mid laner. I generally think that the guy performed well, but he wasn't there in the final. That's why it was very difficult for
Team Spirit. Every move, every reaction — it wasn't there, he didn't make it in time. And in general, it was difficult for them. But the guy is still a champ, no negativity, so to speak. It was his first tournament."
As a reminder, Oliver “Skiter” Lepko also commented on
Team Falcons' victory, calling their opponents trash.
