Malr1ne called for the return of one of the Dota 2 heroes to the mid lane meta

Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak said that he would like to bring the hero Pugna back into the current Dota 2 meta for mid lane play.

The player made the corresponding statement on Twitch.

“Of course, if Pugna were made a mid laner, it would be cool. Why did I play 300 matches with this hero?”

According to Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, the character ceased to be relevant for mid when most heroes received a significant health boost. The esports player believes that Pugna's advantage lay in his ability to deal critical damage to opponents by purchasing Dagon and Veil Of Discord, but in the current meta, this build no longer works.

“Mid Pugna died the moment every hero got 5,000 HP. And the whole point of Pugna at that time was that you buy Dagon, Veil Of Discord — every hero gets one-shot. You can't do that now. I'm sure of it.”

As a reminder, Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko previously named three heroes for quickly gaining MMR in Dota 2.
