Arman “Malady” Orazbayev stated that he was invited to the
Gaimin Gladiators Dota 2 roster by Alimzhan “Watson” Islambekov to refresh the team amidst a drop in results.
The corresponding statement was made by the player on YouTube.
“The invitation came in a brotherly way from watson. As soon as he joined the team, they didn't have the best results. They were either not qualifying or performing very poorly in tournaments. That's when the whole team started thinking that something needed to change.”
According to Arman “Malady” Orazbayev, the team decided to find a replacement for Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp because of the player's severe burnout in recent months. The player also noted that he was very excited after being invited to the
Gaimin Gladiators as he strongly wanted to establish himself well in the team.
“It just so happens that Seleri has burned out a lot in the last two months. Whatever he was doing just wasn't working out and watson suggested my candidacy. I was really excited. I thought, “This is the moment where you can't fail. I need to squeeze everything out of myself, show that I'm not just a top-100 guy, but someone who will help win tournaments."”
Recall that earlier Markus “Ace” Hölgard named an underrated hero for playing in the third position in Dota 2.
