Maelstorm revealed the real reason for Team Falcons defeat

Vladimir "Maelstorm" Kuzminov, a commentator in Dota 2 named this as the reason why Team Falcons could not strategize and Xtreme Gaming were much better during hero drafting as seen in the Elite League finals where the tournament favorites lost.

This view was expressed by Maelstorm in a comment to Metaratings publication.

“Skiter’s poor game was obvious to everybody. However, I would argue that they were a team that outplayed their opponents individually. The play of the team was quite complex with anticipation that ‘Falcons’ will win lanes against their counterparts through fights at each moment”

According to the analyst, Oliver “Skiter” Lepko had a below average performance according to both viewers and analysts. But Maelstorm believes it went far beyond just this issue, and yet the Team Falcons had no strong basis for beating Xtreme Gaming solidly.

“So there were no foundation in terms of drafts – heroes lineups – strategic preparation. Or rather, it was there but not on par with Team Spirit from last year. This is more difficult game. They couldn’t outplay their opponent in finals of ELIT league. Because XG played better than them in drafts, strategies and individual execution thus they won confidently”

Finally we need to mention that overall superiority of Wang “Ame” Chunyu’s team in most aspects throughout all games made them become champions.
